You know what...

Fuck it!

I think I said this a few months ago... I'm so fucking sick of the damn idiots who call themselves pagan on the internet.

Someone please tell me why I don't have a right to kick people out of a community I own for whatever reason I choose?

If somehow I'm so wrong to not want to let people in that I don't care for then why is it so right for people to do prebans on certain notorious trolls? That one is "ok" because the person is hated by more people? WTF?

Why am I expected to turn the other cheek, play doormat and allow people who've tried to tear me down be a member of my community? Why am I a power tripping tyrant for not wanting this person in my community?

Ok, FINE... I'm a horrible person without feelings.......

Happy fucking Imbolc.... oh wait... I forgot... I'm a fraud too so forget I said that.

I understand where you're coming from. I deal with that when people try to tell me that they have a right to post republican propaganda in a Yahell group I have. I have a co-mod who will approve any message, no matter how inflamatory.

It's your community. Those that don't like it can be shown the door.

-huuuuuuuugs- Fuck 'em all indeed, you know what you are and believe in, that's all that matters!

First rule of thumb; it's your community. You don't have to let ANYONe in that doesn't meet your approval. To hell with everyone else.

If I find out about a troll, I pre-emptively ban them just on principle, before they even try to join. And make no apologies to anyone.

You do as you see fit for YOUR community. Wear that FMPPH hat with pride.

I have some major catching up to do!

And, like everyone else said, fuck em. It's your group. Do with it as you please. You started it for them, they should respect that. If they don't like your rules, they know where the unjoin link is.

They don't call you Queen Beeotch for nothing ;)

I don't know the circumstances, nor do I want to, but I have no tolerance at all for trolls. If you spy one, smash it I say! They do nothing but stir up trouble and then play the blame game, its *never* their fault.

Its your community, if you don't like someone, you certainly have the right to give them the boot.

I look at it this way, these communities are rather like my home, why would I let an obnoxious nasty person into my home?

You have every right to kick people out of your community. If others don't like it, too fucking bad. They don't have to stay either if they don't like the ambience :-)

What she said.

[identity profile] brigidsblest.livejournal.com 2006-02-02 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh...your community, your rules. Screw 'em if they can't support what you're doing to make the community a better place for the people there.

Okay, what did I miss while I was in that boring Notary class?

[identity profile] gwenwolfrose.livejournal.com 2006-02-03 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
A while back I booted [livejournal.com profile] tryst_inn from DPS for crying over being snarked. It was her second misstep, her first was slandering [livejournal.com profile] enyo and not only not backing up her claims when called on it but deleting the comments to avoid the heat over it. When I booted her she decided it was grounds to question my initiations and tried to run a craft check on me and is claiming I'm a fraudnerian. The other day she tried to do an end run around me to get back in DPS and I booted her again because I don't want her there. Now she's whining to people that I booted her for no reason since she's a sweet innocent angel and I'm a mean old tryant who likes to hold grudges.

I probably would have let her back in if not for her abusing the craft check in an attempt to win at the internets. I don't know what my craft cred has to do with being a moderater of a snark community.

[identity profile] fionnulaharp.livejournal.com 2006-02-03 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
Oh honestly. Some people just have to win. One way or another. Craft cred has nothing to do with snarking. In fact, one probably can snark better with less cred. Of course, I wouldn't know about that.....

Have a better day.

[identity profile] gwenwolfrose.livejournal.com 2006-02-03 09:54 am (UTC)(link)
LOL yeah. I do have the cred though, she just doesn't have enough information to run the check. I don't think that information should be available to just anyone on the internet. I don't do online covens, teaching, nor discussions of oathbound material over the internet. Degrees and titles are for covens not chat rooms, message boards, email lists, or LJ snark communities.

I am what I am. Being vouched for or not being vouched for over the internet doesn't change that for me and I honestly don't give a crap who believes I'm initiated and who doesn't as my initiations do not have much to do with anything I do on the internet. ;-)

I have no desire to be the HPs high muckity muck of the internets. LMAO! I barely interact in the online pagan community, I'm a friggin chronic lurker for cryin out loud. *grin*
