Overall the Weekend was great, the only sad part was when Talea told me of how rudely she was treated at the Aspen Grove midsummer campout, how she was shunned, and was not included in rituals that were private. Which makes me wonder, why would anyone want sto do a private ritual at what is suppose to be a public event. I took my name off as a Janitor for this group, Aspen Grove, because of the problems with the Janitors, and now I am removing myself from the public yahoo list. I felt so badly for Talea who went to this event thinking it was open and that she would be includied in the activities despite who she was friends with.

I call bullshit! I get so sick of people who claim to not want witch wars in the community to continually stir the shit stew to cause conflict. Yeah, she left the Janitor's list for Aspen Grove along with her man Kelly (who did try to rejoin). When they left they did so very loudly spewing off nasty half truths and attacking community members. At that point they weren't welcome back as Janitors. They aren't trust worthy. No one want's to continually watch their back to make sure a knife doesn't get stuck in it!

As to what she wrote about Midsummer... here is my response to her.

You don't know what happened or what the two rituals were for or when they were planned. You don't even bother to find out what it was about before you jump up to bad mouth Aspen Grove once again.

Talea kept to herself mostly. I did not shun her, I even shared steak with her. I find it sad that they only thing it seems to be reported back is gossipy bad mouthing.

The only rituals advertised for this event was the main ritual on Friday night which Talea was at and the handfasting on Saturday and again Talea was there. The other two rituals were private and only decided to be done Saturday morning to be done after all the public activities were over. One was for Chrissy to heal her soul and help her move forward upon a new path with a new name. It was personal and private. The other was a death and rebirth rite which is the epitome of a personal private rite. Anyone who doesn't understand or respect the privacy of such rites probably also doesn't get the power involved in such rites.

I also know that Talea spent most of Saturday morning in TaMara's trailer where she was served breakfast, drank coffee and spent a great deal of time telling TaMara that anything that happened at Aspen Grove would stay there because Talea wasn't going to go back and talk shit about us.

Talea was NOT shunned by us she was welcomed and treated with hospitality. When she left the camp ground she came to TaMara's camp to say goodbye and was sent off with farewell hugs.
