I guess I could post about our awesome Midsummer camp out now. I would have done it sooner but as soon as I got back from that trip I had to make an emergency trip to Iowa with a friend.
Parker and I went down to the camp ground on Thursday so we could get our camp set up. The camp ground is full of large rocks and at this time of year apparently the river overflows through the camp ground as well so finding a good spot to pitch a tent was interesting to say the least. Most everyone was scattered over the whole place which kind of made it hard for much socialization. Goat had me covered though and found me a spot before I got there near Chrissy. After Parker and Goat set up the tent we ate some nummy goulash Chrissy brought and then sat around the camp fire till we were too tired to think. Thursday night was below freezing so Parker and I almost melded together with poor little Bikit squished between us. She survived...
Friday morning Parker got out his French press for coffee and TaMara made some breakfast burritos out of the Southwestern egg beaters and tortillas I brought with some potatoes and sausage she had. Twas goooood. The day was spent sitting around the fire socializing and exploring the camp ground. For lunch we cooked some really yummy brats stuffed with garlic, cheese and artichoke. *drool*
Friday evening it was time for the main ritual. TaMara and Parker centered the ritual and it was amazing. Parker came into the circle as the Green Man and TaMara sent him on his way into the greenwood with song as his time of reign is now over. She then started singing another song which summoned the Horned One in to start his reign. It was very moving. The circle ended as the Sheriff showed up.
