After circle we had our feast and socializing around the fire in the main camp (mine and Chrissy's). Some time around ten or so (I didn't have a time piece) some of us took the bride off and painted her up with some body crayons. I then wondered over with the bride to what had been dubbed by those occupying the camp as Camp Homo. Got drunk and wondered back to my camp around three or so. It was cold again Friday night but not as cold as the night before.

Saturday we woke up, Parker got the French press out again and we cooked eggs, sausage and hashbrowns. We vegged right there in main camp till it was time for the handfasting. While sitting around that morning we had a discussion about Chrissy needing to cut some spiritual ties, heal her soul and move forward with her path. There was another there who needed to completely start anew as well so we decided to put together some impromptu rites for those two to be done after all the public activities were over.

Then it came time for the handfasting. What a beautiful ritual! I took lots of photos which are on my flickr. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/wolfrose/) The bride was beautiful as was the groom as well.

After the handfasting it was time for workshops. I didn't get any pictures of those because I was busy participating in them. ;) First was a combined workshop of bath salts with TaMara and Talea sharing their knowledge of herbs and oils. Then Talea did a lovely workshop on poppets which I enjoyed very much. We did cut it short after we realized it was time for Goat's wire wrapping workshop back in the main camp. I stayed with Talea while she packed up her supplies and walked back to the main camp with her. We had a lovely conversation and I enjoyed her company.

I did not participate in Goat's workshop because my hands were hurting and I was tired and hungry so I went over to TaMara's camp to cook our steaks with Parker. Talea came by after the workshop and I invited her to eat with us which she did. :)

Soon after we noticed that most everyone was scattering to their perspective camps and the public Aspen Grove event came to a close with some people breaking camp to head back home and some deciding to wait till the next morning.

There were two more rituals held later at sunset and then after dark but as stated previously these were private rites so no pictures were taken and all I will say of them is that they were very emotional and took a lot out of me. One small note, Parker was not even at the second rite.

Sunday morning we slowly got moving, got the handful of us remaining packed up and all headed home. It was exhausting but a wonderful experience all the same.
