  • 09:16 bleh. kids have late start today. woke me up like a couple of teenage heathens pillaging the house. *grumble*
  • 10:58 @jazdewills whoa... and I thought my insomnia was bad.
  • 11:00 @TarotByArwen it's people like that that make women look stupid... and McCain is hedging his bet on that... sad and disappointing.
  • 11:03 @TarotByArwen she is a nightmare for womens rights too... oh hell, she's just a nightmare in lipstick. :)
  • 13:14 @jazdewills LOL!! Just say no to the Vagina Vote because if you for with your vagina you'll lose some right to dictate how it's used.
  • 15:26 @Teal_Cuttlefish taking pix? I'll be getting myself some henna soon too. You using a ready mix or did you mix body grade henna yourself?
  • 15:51 @Teal_Cuttlefish that's where I'm getting mine from. :) I'm going to do a paprika mix with lemon juice, tea tree and maybe some lavender.

Health Care

Sep. 8th, 2008 02:18 pm

So the same old lame scare tactic used to argue against universal health care is that there will be a bureaucrat in between you and your health care. So let's look at the definition of bureaucrat.

bureaucrat
Main Entry: bu·reau·crat
Pronunciation: \ˈbyu̇r-ə-ˌkrat, ˈbyər-\
Function: noun
Date: 1839

: a member of a bureaucracy

bureaucracy
Main Entry: bu·reau·cra·cy
Pronunciation: \byu̇-ˈrä-krə-sē, byə-, byər-ˈä-\
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural bu·reau·cra·cies
Etymology: French bureaucratie, from bureau + -cratie -cracy
Date: 1818

1 a: a body of nonelective government officials b: an administrative policy-making group
2: government characterized by specialization of functions, adherence to fixed rules, and a hierarchy of authority
3: a system of administration marked by officialism, red tape, and proliferation

Oh my! Sounds a lot like an insurance company to me.

Not so long ago my aunt had a blood test done that showed positive markers for pancreatic cancer. One of the things needed for further testing was an MRI study with and without contrast and the most important one being the one with. The insurance paper pushers decided that they would allow her to have the one without contrast but not the one she needed the most. They have also recently denied her another test that her doctor told her was needed. I will not even go into the medications the doctor prescribed that the insurance company will not approve.

So you see, that old scare tactic isn't a what if, it's an already is. Universal health care would be better because your doctor would have more say about what you need for your health care. Paper pushers who work for the insurance companies are there to make sure the insurance company makes money. They do not really care whether or not you are sick and need an expensive proceedure. Or rather they do care, because they stand to lose money if you actually need the health care you gave them money to insure you would get when you needed it... and they will drop you like hot potato if it looks like you're going to start costing them money.

Just sayin.

In order to find out the questions, you have to agree to do this in your own journal. I didn't make this one up - but I'm curious enough that not knowing the questions made me do it.

My son-in-law got himself a laptop because his computer bit the dust. Well the laptop isn't as great for doing what he wants as a desktop would be but this baby will do everything my desktop was built to do just fine so he and I traded! He's already upgraded the RAM in that tower. LOL he's happy, I'm happy, it's all good!

I can now do my artwork from a laptop! That was impossible before so when I would be stuck in fibro hell bed, which lately has been most of the time, I could not do any artwork. Not now, now I have the world in my lap!

I'm home from fest!! It was awesome!! Now that I've been to both Heartland and Dragonfest I can report that Dragonfest is the one I prefer. More of everything. Of course Heartland does have the coed shower thing going on... but Dfest is closer to me and I know people there. ;) Next time I'll be camping closer to where I would like to be.

wolfrose: (shit for brains)
and stop being obsessed with mine!!!

Fuck, I've been ignoring that psycho stalker bitch [livejournal.com profile] thewillow_witch for a long time now. Going on as if she doesn't exist but she sure the fuck can't leave me the hell alone apparently. She still watches me and searches me out on the damn internet and now apparently she's naming me in her livejournal and claiming that I'm stalking her and whatever else she can think up.

There is a list called Witches in Wyoming that Parker is a member of and that I had not joined because the psycho was a member and I just do not want anything to do with her nor do I wish to play her games. Well back in February this year one of the mods of the list told Parker that Willow had left the list. I also knew through the TX AG that she and the Rat Bastard were no longer living in Wyoming so I felt it would be safe to join and did so. Now after five months she's claiming that someone hacked her yahoo account and removed her from that list. Whateva!

I thought I made a last post from the group site and then unsubbed. Apparently though yahoo being the oh so dependable piece of shit it is known to be didn't send that post to the list but sent it directly to Willow instead. Which just horrifies me since sending her anything private is the last thing I would ever want to do. So now she has that to bitch about and wave around. *rolls eyes*

This bitch is fifty damn years old why can't she act her age and just leave me the fuck alone already???

If you've come from Willow's LJ to check me out, ask yourself this, if I was the stalker why am I the one who leaves lists and groups when she shows up? I avoid her like the plague, she seeks me out. See the problem? Can we leave me alone now???
